Rio Salado VOC Treatment Facility

This Performance Oriented Construction Activity (POCA) contract is an 8(a) negotiated general construction activity Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity delivery order contract.  Under this POCA, the USACE identifies various projects, develops a scope and negotiates a firm, fixed price.  UCC provides all construction activities, quality control, submittals, scheduling, and coordination of turnkey construction activities. Currently, UCC has been awarded one task order for the construction of a groundwater treatment and recovery system along the Rio Salado River in Phoenix, Arizona. This project involved the excavation of a previous sanitary landfill, installation of a geo-textile liner, backfilling, concrete footers and slabs, erection of a steel panel building, installation of two groundwater treatment air strippers, installation of roll up doors, installation and calibration of all controls including fiber optics cabling, painting, potable water, fire suppression, paving, user training, and commissioning the entire system. This project is complete and has been accepted by the end user.
